What happened to the script?

without comments

Ah haa! Now some of you know about the cat story I’ve always been talking about right? So, what happened to it? I’ve been pretty silent for quite a while now about it.

Well, you should all know that the story is live and well and rocking. With new props and sequences added it. The latest version is 60% done and it has a lot of cool and hillarious scenes that’ll rock you.

I’m not giving much away right now. Just await it okay? And for a teaser : What happens when two rabbits meet an RPG (Rocket propelled grenade) launcher and there’s a horde of German Shepherds and Rottweilers chasing after them?

Haha! Go home and ponder that!

DR. MAHATHIR!! WE NEED YOU!!

with one comment

Dr. Mahathir

Dear Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad,

We, the loyal citizens of Malaysia, humbly request that in the light of the current mess that the leadership of (Datuk Seri) Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi has caused, return to lead us once again. Although we may not have agreed with some or many things that you have done during your 22-year tenure in office as the Prime Minister Of Malaysia, but there are things that we can never dispute.

That you’ve made us proud to be Malaysians. You put us on the world map, making much larger nations sit up when they hear your breath down even for far down the corridor.

That you’ve pushed us from a mainly agricultural state to a state with first world amneties.

That you’ve kept the government running in order and were always in control no matter what came in your way.

The current leadership has absolutely no clue on how to run this country. Please do us all a favour by returning!

Darus Abdul Razak

If you agree with me, please sign the “We Need Tun Dr.. Mahathir To Involved In The Government Again” petition online at :

[Note : Malaysians only please]

You call this a movie??

with 5 comments

Okay hey there people. I know I’m kind of late in putting up a new post here. I was actually supposed to write about the recently concluded 12th Malaysian General Elections but such topics need a lot of effort and careful writing, so I’m pushing it to the next post for now since I can see my hit rate going up and with just old stuff on.

Thank you my fans : ) I’m so happy that you actually take the time to drop by at The Lion’s PawPrints. I’d be even happier if you’d care to comment on something.

Well, this post is a review for the direct-to-DVD movie Stargate : The Ark Of Truth.

After watching it, the only words I can utter is : Unbelieveable, YOU ACTUALLY CALL THAT A MOVIE??

It was terrible! The plot was weak, the graphics horrible and in fact the whole story thing went wild.

I have no idea how on earth they can write up such vulgarity and shove it in our faces. I mean, come on, we’ve stuck with Stargate for so long, we deserve better than that.

The closest analogy I get to describe this movie is this :

Imagine a boyfriend-girlfriend pair are going to set off on a very exciting mission (sarcarsm intended) of exterminating mosquitoes around the house which is threathening the house with nuclear destruction in the hands of the local Ministry of Health. Then just as the pair are about to set out on the very dangerous adventure, the girlfriend’s mum suddenly calls on the phone and the boyfriend doesn’t wait and sets off first to eliminate the threat. That’s when the story starts to fall apart. The boyfriend, instead of using some rocket launcher type weapon, ends up spraying the mozzies with a half empty can of Ridsect while on the other end, the girlfriend ends up with a quarrel with her mom over topics oh-we-have-heard-this-over-a-million-times-already. In the end, the quarrel between the girlfriend and the mum -which was never supposed to happen in the first place- ends up taking centre stage and on the other side,  the boyfriend manages to eliminate all the mosquitoes within 3 minutes.

In other words, at the end of the story, you’ll be staring at the screen with your mouth open and thinking “UNBELIEVABLE!! I ACTUALLY SAT THROUGH 1 HOUR AND 37 MINUTES WATCHING THAT???” Not to mention some goofs (or maybe it was intentional? I don’t know. But it really ruined the story) they made in the production

Truly disappointing really. They should have let me write the story. Anyway, here are some stills from the once promising story :

Stargate : The Ark Of Truth

Story : Bad ( 3.00 / 10.00 )

Graphics : Horrible ( 4.00 / 10.00 )

Continuity with series: Patchy at times ( 6.50 / 10.00 )

Goofs : Unforgivable

Recommendations : Find the writers and give them a public lynching.

Overall : This movie stinks! I don’t even want to know now how Stargate : Continuum is going to be like.

Taiping, Taiping, P060 Taiping

with 2 comments

Hey people, I wasn’t able to log on for around a week or so. The reason? Well, I’ve decided to cast my lot for incumbent Taiping Member of Parliament (Datuk) M. Kayveas and I’ve even volunteered to help him defend his seat against the Opposition Democratic Action Party (DAP).

Kayveas

After some consideration, I feel that this is the best decision to make. Sure, there are many things that I am unhappy with UMNO, the parent party in the ruling Barisan Nasional (National Front) but I think that kicking Kayveas in the butt isn’t a good idea either.

For one, he is an outspoken leader, one that has been known to hold his own much against larger Barisan component party leaders like MIC’s Samy Vellu and Gerakan’s Lim Keng Yaik (Kayveas is the President of the PPP – People’s Progressive Party). Besides, the difference he has made for Taiping since becoming MP, we have a new hospital building, many many many new construction projects and stuff like that, is a clear difference from the time Taiping was under Gerakan’s Kerk Choo Ting.

Electing (Datuk) Kayveas would be in a way a kind of bulkward against some of the more extreme racial-based policies formulated by elements in the Barisan. Okay, I know that he can’t do everything but it’s at least worth having some good men in right?

On another note, casting a lot for the DAP would be a waste of time. The DAP’s candidate for P060 Taiping is Nga Kor Ming

Nga Kor Ming

What’s so “special” of our Mr. Nga here is that he is a 2-term Opposition Leader  in the Perak State Assembly and he is standing in his old Pantai Remis state seat and the Taiping parliamentary seat at the same time. There are politicians who stand for both state and parliamentary seats in the same elections but the state seat that Nga is standing is in another parliamentary constituency meaning that he has to devote his time more to one of the seats should he win both.

Since he already has a post in the state assembly, it is unlikely that he would concentrate more on the parliamentary seat. It won’t do much for Taiping to have him represent us in the Dewan Rakyat.

On another note, I am a little disappointed with the way the DAP is campaigning. They seem more interested to campaign in Chinese then either Malay or English. Now, now, I have nothing against Chinese, but Malaysia is a multi-racial society and not everyone understands Chinese. And besides, if you want people to know your side of the story and gain their sympathy, shouldn’t you at least post it in a language they can understand?

The Malays and Indians are caring people, if the reason is good, they might throw their lot behind the DAP. But the way they are campaining now just disenfranchises many non-Chinese voters. It seems that the DAP is only interested in getting votes of the Chinese population. It’s the type of racial politics that the Opposition always accuses the Barisan for. Looks who’s talking now??

That said, please turn out in droves for the 12 Malaysian General Election on Saturday people! And if I haven’t made it clear enough already, I’m endorsing Barisan Nasional-PPP’s (Datuk) M. Kayveas for the P060 Taiping Parliamentary seat. Please vote for him, we need to get him back in the Dewan Rakyat.
